The last 2 months I have cared a lot. I typically overpay my tax on purpose so the IRS gets an interest free loan and I get to save some money. I aim to change that soon so I just pay what I owe, and possibly don’t get a refund in April. I don’t want to give the regime a single penny more than I owe, and frankly if my state seceded and I didn’t have to give them a dime, it would be preferred.
1·15 days agoNextdoor is the place I buy / sell secondhand goods. I signed up years ago, but the way they verified you then was you gave an address and they mailed you a post card. It is still a hassle, but imo it keeps the bots out which is nice. A lot less scammers on there.
0·19 days agoI remember back when iPods were a thing, I hated how you couldn’t drag and drop files, and manage your own storage. Syncing seemed so stupid, and I couldn’t believe that they were so popular. The thing they had going for them is it’s idiot proof to the point where it pissed off anyone who knew what they were doing. That’s been Apple’s MO since roughly that era, and I can’t stand their products because of it.
Yeah, Facebook was great when it actually connected people together. Now it’s just a cesspool of AI slop and boomers
Wasn’t friendica it? I don’t need a replacement for Facebook. Barely use Facebook as it is. I was one of the few people that stood on them axing the chronological friends only feed. Once they fucked that up, I just said wow, Facebook is full of crap I don’t care about now. Guess I don’t need to use it.
Watch the channel 5 Kia boys episode. It was really fucking easy to steal kia’s n Hyundai’s. Took the guy like 30 seconds to do it. You just ripped a piece of plastic off, and jammed a USB cord into the ignition, turned it, and off u went. They encountered one of these updated ones and failed as well.
Warning, the Kia boys are fucking insufferable twats.
And if you do have said spyware, the robber could be holding up his drivers license reciting his social security number while doing it on video and the cops still wouldn’t bother pursuing the lead.
