I rather have people be alienated then them crashing into other people. If not having a car is such a huge problem, drive better or move somewhere where you are not so reliant on a car.

Ok ok, so you’re saying that basically any roundabout is too difficult. Then it’s a case of driver certification and not roundabouts. We really should stop seeing having a driver license as a right, rather than a privilege. Of course that will never happen.
I might be daft, but how exactly is this complex? Or rather, how is more complex than any other situation where you have to give way? These kind of roundabouts is all you have over here. Never seemed difficult to grasp imho.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish164·18 days agoJellyfin has a sign in through the app for tv. Which I tell them to use first. And URL is also nothing new. All this stuff are 30+ year old concepts by now. But to each his own!
I’m starting to think it acts as a nice filter. If they can’t grasp an URL + login, it would save me from tech support down the line.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish45·18 days agoWell yes I know, but that kind of proofs a sign in link is not that important right? :) surely not a deal breaker as they postulated above.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish2413·18 days agoLet’s not act like a user and password is some revolutionary new technical concept. They can remember it for their email provider if they can access the plex link. So why not jellyfin? I think the UX of Jellyfin is more than acceptable in this regard. Sure I wouldn’t mind they added this feature but i don’t see it as a must have.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish913·18 days agoFair enough, i just have very limited patience for incompetence. if they cant figure out how to remember their user and password. I don’t want to have to deal with them at all.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish152·18 days agoI have no clue what you mean with having to take it down. But with the *narr stack and jellyseer i basically have no library upkeep. Except for one or two difficult shows
Decq@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish3215·18 days agoSounds more of an user problem than a jellyfin problem? If they can’t remember their login I’ll just not add them to jellyfin.
The answer is simple. If you’re exploiting people you’re doing capitalism right. It’s the American dream.
Decq@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•We did the math on AI’s energy footprint. Here’s the story you haven’t heard.English0·25 days agoWhat stone did you live under? The huge power consumption of crypto was often debated. You just don’t hear too much about it because people don’t really talk about crypto much anymore. Now it’s mostly just people pro crypto who discuss it. And obviously they tend to talk leas about the downsides.
And if that’s complicated you should not at all be allowed to have a drivers license.
