Police officers are part of the government, they bear arms against citizens literally every day. The premise is entirely flawed.

The man thinks (or at least says) that empathy is a bad thing. There’s no guilt without a conscience, and no conscience without empathy. Obscenely unfathomable wealth takes care of the rest.

I think at least 2 people I work with don’t have cases. For me I think it’s more about function than protection at this point. Phones are so damn thin they’re actually kind of uncomfortable to hold compared to one with a case, and I feel more likely to drop it without a case. I always get a case with some kind of kickstand which I use often enough to feel is justified.
