Then a little while ago I noticed they weren’t thick and creamy anymore. They were super thin and watery. At first I thought maybe I just got a bad batch, but eventually realized that was the new normal. I checked the ingredients list, and sure enough, apple juice is now the primary ingredient.
Which kind of blows my mind. Coal miners should love EVs. There was a story in the news a few years ago about how nice it was for the miners to help someone in an EV, as if they should be mortal enemies.
Non-EV cars don’t run on coal, they run on gasoline. EVs on the other hand can run on coal, natural gas, solar, wind, you name it - and still are more energy efficient than cars burning gasoline. In a sane world, coal miners would be throwing their support behind electric vehicles. The utility companies seem to understand this, but seems like the support hasn’t made its way up the supply chain.

The book 11/22/63 by Stephen King had a great scene about the Cuban Missile Crisis that I thought was amazing at humanizing the whole situation.
Before reading that scene, the Cuban Missile Crisis was a short blip in my highschool history book. I had a vague idea that the Russians were moving nukes to Cuba and the US said that would be crossing a line in the sand which they would consider a nuclear attack. But that was it.
The scene from the book tells it from a family’s perspective going through all the fear and uncertainty that the average person was feeling. People were absolutely convinced that the world was ending. It’s worth a read.
I’my first playthrough of Satisfactory, I was like “I’m gonna leave these trees up to not completely ruin this area and make things look nice.” After a few playthroughs I was full on “is it faster to use explosive rebar or cluster bombs to remove the trees?”
I really like this about Expedition 33. It replenishes all your items whenever you rest and even has loading screen hints to tell you to use you them.
